Life transitions can be exciting, difficult, confusing—or all three at once.
Becoming a parent. Going through a divorce. Getting married. Ending a relationship. Starting a new career. Moving. Watching your children grow up and leave home.
Even when a change is something you wanted, it can still leave you feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or unlike yourself.
You might be thinking, “Why am I struggling so much? I should be happy.” Or maybe you simply know that something feels different and you're not sure what comes next.
Therapy can provide a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and reconnect with yourself as you navigate a new chapter.
Major life changes often affect more than our circumstances. They can change our relationships, routines, identity, and expectations for the future.
In therapy, we can explore the emotions that come with these changes—from anxiety and uncertainty to grief, excitement, or feeling stuck. Together, we'll work on understanding what you need, managing difficult emotions, and finding a path forward that feels right for you.
I work with adults navigating transitions such as divorce and separation, becoming a parent, relationship changes, career changes, parenting challenges, and other major life transitions.
You don't have to have it all figured out before you begin therapy. Sometimes you just need a place to start.
If you're in the middle of a life transition and could use some support, I'd love to help.
