When parenting feels stuck, sometimes you need more than another 50-minute session.
The Comprehensive Parenting Intensive is a focused, four-hour therapeutic experience designed for parents who are dealing with ongoing challenges at home and want a deeper understanding of what is happening—and a practical plan for what to do next.
Rather than spending months trying different parenting strategies, we use dedicated time to understand your child, identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck, explore your own triggers and responses, practice new skills, and create a personalized parenting plan.
You don't have to figure it out alone.
Maybe you're thinking:
"I'm tired of yelling."
"Everything has become a battle."
"My child isn't listening unless I get angry."
"The tantrums and meltdowns are exhausting."
"I don't know how to respond when my child is anxious."
"I feel like I'm either too strict or too permissive."
"I know what I should do, but I can't seem to do it in the moment."
"I don't like the way my child and I are interacting right now."
"I've tried parenting books, podcasts, and advice, but we're still stuck."
"I just need someone to help me figure out what is actually going on."
If this sounds familiar, a more focused approach may be helpful.
The Comprehensive Parenting Intensive is designed for parents of children of all ages who feel stuck in a recurring parenting pattern and want individualized support.
It may be particularly helpful for parents dealing with:
Meltdowns, intense anger, crying, frustration, or difficulty calming down.
Constant arguing, refusal, backtalk, negotiation, or feeling like everything becomes a battle.
A child who has difficulty managing strong emotions—or a parent who feels increasingly triggered and overwhelmed by those emotions.
Feeling like you're constantly correcting your child and rarely enjoying each other.
Divorce, separation, a new sibling, moving, changing schools, blended families, puberty, or other major family changes.
Knowing you want to parent differently but not knowing exactly what that should look like in your particular family.
This isn't four hours of simply talking about what's going wrong.
We use a structured, individualized process to understand the behaviors or patterns creating stress, identify what's keeping them going, and develop a practical plan for change.
What's really happening?
We'll look beyond the behavior to understand your child's developmental needs, temperament, emotional and behavioral patterns, family circumstances, and what you've already tried.
What's happening between you and your child?
We'll identify the interaction cycle that may be keeping you stuck—including your child's responses, your own triggers, and the moments where the pattern can begin to shift.
What can you do differently?
We'll apply the work to your real-life parenting challenges and practice targeted strategies for communication, boundaries, regulation, discipline, connection, and responding to difficult behaviors.
What happens when you leave?
We'll bring everything together into a personalized plan focused on your family's specific priorities, including practical strategies and next steps for continuing the work at home.
You won't leave with a generic list of parenting tips.
You'll leave with a clearer understanding of what's happening, a more effective way to respond, and a practical plan tailored to your family.
A traditional 50-minute therapy session can be valuable, but parenting patterns often involve multiple pieces happening at the same time.
There may not be enough time in a standard session to fully understand the situation, explore the parent-child cycle, identify your triggers, learn new skills, practice them, and develop a detailed plan.
The intensive gives us the space to go deeper.
Talk → Get advice → Go home → Try to remember what we discussed
we work through:
Understand → Identify → Practice → Create a Plan
You aren't simply learning about parenting strategies.
You're practicing them.
We can slow down a difficult interaction, try a different response, role-play what might happen next, and adjust the strategy until it feels realistic for you.
Parenting can bring up enormous emotions.
Sometimes the problem isn't that you don't know what to do.
You may know exactly what you want to do—but when your child is screaming, refusing, melting down, or pushing every button you have, it's difficult to access those skills.
That's why this intensive focuses on both sides of the relationship:
What they may be experiencing, communicating, and needing.
What you're feeling, thinking, and experiencing in your own body.
What happens between the two of you and how that cycle can change.
The goal isn't perfection.
It's awareness, regulation, connection, boundaries, and repair.
There is no shortage of parenting information.
You can find parenting books, podcasts, social media accounts, courses, and articles telling you what you should do.
But your child isn't a parenting book.
And your family isn't someone else's family.
The Comprehensive Parenting Intensive is individualized to your family.
We look at your child's personality, developmental needs, your parenting style, your triggers, your family's circumstances, and the specific situations that are creating the most stress.
Instead of giving you another generic list of things to try, we develop a plan that makes sense for your family.
You don't need to change everything at once.
Sometimes one or two changes in the way a parent responds can begin to shift an entire family pattern.
The purpose of this intensive is to help you identify those changes and practice them with support.
Four focused hours. One personalized plan. A clearer way forward.
Regular therapy typically takes place in ongoing 50-minute sessions and allows us to address concerns over time.
The intensive provides a concentrated block of time specifically focused on parenting. It allows us to spend more time assessing the situation, identifying patterns, practicing skills, and developing a personalized plan in one experience.
An intensive can also be used as a starting point for ongoing therapy when additional support would be helpful.
Parent Intesives are $950
No. These intensives are designed to be parent-focused.
That's okay.
You don't need to arrive with a diagnosis or even a clear explanation.
You can simply come with:
"We're struggling, and I don't know what to do."
Part of the intensive is figuring out what is actually happening.
No. Parenting challenges look different at different developmental stages.
The intensive can be adapted for parents of young children, school-age children, tweens, and adolescents.
The intensive doesn't have to be a stand-alone experience.
Depending on your needs, we may recommend ongoing individual therapy, parent-focused work, family therapy, another intensive, or other appropriate resources.
If you feel stuck in the same arguments, reactions, and patterns—and you're ready to step back, understand what's happening, and develop a practical plan—the Comprehensive Parenting Intensive may be a good place to start.
